If EndNote Citation isn't available, go to the Document Inspector > Document tab and make sure Document Body is checked. Install from EndNote X7 only: In your EndNote library, click EndNote from the menu at the top.

EndNote X7.5 with Word 2016 for Mac compatibility is now available as a free update. Please update to EndNote X7.5 in order to use the tools with Word 2016. EndNote Cite While You Write and Microsoft Word 2016 for Mac: Compatibility and Recommendations EndNote X7.5 for Mac is compatible with Word 2016.
